What is the HOURS field and how does it work
The Hours field sets a time period in hours that a Nominee/IFA must wait before they can see the Main Users data.
When a Nominee/Advisor logs on to the portal, the system will first check the Hours field.
- If it is set to 0 (zero), it will allow access.
- Otherwise, it will send an approval/decline option to the Main User.
If they User DECLINES the Nominee/IFA, the Hours field will remain as is and the Nominee/IFA will be informed.
If the Main User approves, then the Hours field for that Nominee/IFA will be set to zero and access will be granted.
NOTE: If the Main User does not respond in the time set on the Hours field for that Nominee/IFA, the system will assume that Main User has a problem (they have protentially passed away) and will therefore allow the Nominee/IFA access.
It is therefore very important to select trusted Nominees and Advisor, and it is very important to set the Hours field to your preference. The Hours field has a default of 4 weeks (672 hours). Setting it to zero allows immediate access.
